Windsor 2025 Day Four

Today in the morning we headed to the House of Hope which is a women’s shelter that has about 8-10 ladies living in the home. We split up into two groups so that we could go to both their locations this year. We raked leaves and filled so many yard waste bags! We also flipped their garden and cleaned the inside of their house. Raking the leaves and cleaning the house took forever because Tymon took so long to come back to the house with the supplies we needed. But the ladies were very appreciative and kind. Later on that day we received the following message from them:

“I want to express my deepest gratitude for everything you've done. Your team went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations. The impact you've made on our home is incredible, especially for the women who have never experienced a comfortable living space before. Your kindness, compassion, and hard work have made a significant difference in their lives. We're grateful for your support and generosity. You made a big difference.”

A few neighbours were wondering what we were doing and stopped by to ask questions, and it was cool that the neighbours wanted to learn what we were doing. At the other location the team did some paint touch ups, redid the stones leading to the backyard, and helped plant some flowers in their gardens. After we finished at the houses a few hours later, we headed to Wigle park and we played games. Some of the group played grounders with little kids and others played nine square. Towards the end of the day we went to the Windsor Spitz game. It was very fun. We made Jesus and hockey signs to spread the word of Jesus. While walking in we obviously had to sing the song “Praise”. We were quite loud, but nobody seemed to mind. While doing so we put lots of smiles on peoples faces. At the Spits game Noah was the star of the show. He got on the jumbo-Tron 4 times and got high-fives from the mascots. Overall, I would say that today was an amazing day.
