Windsor 2024 Day Seven
Last night in Windsor!

What’s up everyone, this was our last full day in Windsor, and it was AMAZING! And a great way to end our week.
We had a nice late start this morning so we were able to get through two pages in our devo books, one was Galatians 6:9 about not giving up and to keep doing what we are doing because we never know how God might be using us! The other one was Corinthians 1:31 which focused on boasting about God’s amazing wonders! Then around 9:30am we drove into town and met Bob Cameron and Nate Hope at the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative (DWCC). We split off in to two groups and walked around downtown while they told us about important buildings and programs put there to help the community, and what the city of Windsor and their organization is doing to help the less fortunate in Windsor. After meting back up again at DWCC we made a pit stop at the park for a quick game of grounders while some played poker with a very risky bet of their rizz on the line. After we went to feeding Windsor and had some delicious tacos or hot dogs and when people were full, their plates were passed down to Owen and Aidan with their bottomless stomachs.
After lunch we ran back to the church for a bathroom break, then drove to the Thomsons house where we helped them clean the house, made a garden bed, swept the porch, cleaned out a shed and helped pick up some winter debris. It was so cool to see how God was working through this opportunity during our last job this week. We could really feel God’s presence and are grateful for His strength to have the energy to do a good job today.
Once we finished, we had yummy fish and chips or a hot Hamburg (the fish and chips were bussin!)
And Julia really enjoyed eating Rae’s pet fish Jimmy (he tasted fantastic).
We also got to learn more about what feeding Windsor was doing in the community and that they fed 220,000 people this year and got 62,000 volunteer hours! What an awesome program!
After jamming out in the van on the way home to some awesome tunes we sat down to write the blog post and are now going to watch either the Jungle book or Narnia. Our money is on the Jungle book!
Byeee! Time to watch the movie.
Awwwwoooooooooo
