Compass Kids
We seek to partner with families to help our children connect to God through Jesus Christ, thrive in His transforming love for them, and commit to follow Him for the rest of their lives. All our programs are created and delivered with this goal in mind.
At Compass Kids, we seek to connect our children to their church community so they can thrive in their faith and commit to loving God and others. We are passionate about enabling children to experience the love of Christ, find their eternal identity in Him, and grow in the love and knowledge of God.
We use a combination of curriculum featuring Orange/reThink and What’s in the Bible? for our online and in-person programming. Our goal is to provide age appropriate theological training along with practical life application of the Gospel to foster authentic and lasting spiritual formation in our children.
Every summer we offer five weeks of Compass Camps where we explore games, crafts, sports, archery, science, art, music, special trips & guests, giant inflatables, water fun, exotic animals, and so much more! Camps are open to all children from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 5. Join us to make life-long friends and discover the depth of God's love for you.
Are You New to Compass?
First Time at Compass Kids?
We have a Compass Kids program at each of our three site locations in Orangeville, Shelburne and Grand Valley on Sunday mornings for children from Nursery through to Grade 5.
When you arrive, our greeters will direct you to our Compass Kids Check-In Centre where you can register your child for our program. Once you are registered you will receive a set of stickers with a family identification number for you and each child. Our registration volunteers will help you register and direct you to your child’s classroom.
If your child needs you during the service, you will receive a text message to the phone number registered for your child at Check-In. Please proceed to your child’s classroom to assist them.
At Compass Kids, we believe that the most important investment you’ll ever make as parents is in your children’s spiritual development and growth. We know that this begins at home. We also know that the church plays an important role in supporting your family. We want to partner with you in creating the best possible children’s program for your family. Compass Kids is a cooperative ministry.
At Compass our desire is for children and families to thrive. Child Dedication is a meaningful way for parents and guardians along with our church family to commit to raising children in the love and knowledge of God and connect them to Jesus and to community.
Child Dedication

Child dedication is a public celebration of God’s blessing and gift of children, a sacred trust. During the dedication service, parents and guardians commit before God, church, and family to pursue and embrace a deep, loving relationship with God through Jesus Christ, modelling and nurturing the same in their children.
Parents and guardians seek the support of the body of Christ (church and family), and the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they offer themselves and their children to God. The church and extended family respond with a loving commitment to support the parents as they all journey together.

Bible App for Kids
The Bible App for Kids helps children understand the overall story that the Bible is telling. Kid-friendly navigation helps them find and select whichever story they want, then reads it aloud to them in a friendly narrative style. Throughout each story, fun, interactive animations keep children engaged helping them learn, understand, and retain important Bible story concepts.
